The Centre for Continuing Education comprising of former Pre-Degree Science (PDS) and former Centre for Sandwich Programmes (CESAP) could be traced to a vision to put qualitative university education on the wheels and make it readily available to the Nigerian populace in particular. Consequent upon this, the University Senate by its decision of December 28, 1995 approved that all Sandwich and Part-Time programmes be brought under a Management Board. In July 2012, CESAP and PDS were brought together and renamed it as Centre for Continuing Education (CCED) with three units namely Part-Time Studies, Certificate and Diploma Studies and Pre-Degree Studies. The Centre is located in the former mini campus of the University.
